Corina and Jason chose a beautiful venue in Celebrations, and added many unique and personal touches to their day that made it really fun and challenging to photograph (some of the personal touches and twists on tradition are below).
While they did not want to see each other before the ceremony, the couple did share a kiss and an irish carbomb!

Amanda and Corey celebrated their marriage at a lovely location, Chester Presbyterian Church, with their reception in a nearby historic home–and it got a little crazy once the moonshine showed up.
Rebecca and Cedric held their ceremony and reception at the downtown Marriott on Broad Street. There is some great backdrops in the hotel and on the street, and Rebecca and Cedric were full of smiles, so this was a joy to photograph. There were also some sick dance moves once the dance floor opened…
Michele and Jon chose a gorgeous location for their wedding, at a historic Hanover County courthouse, and their reception held across the street at Hanover Tavern. Here are some of my favorite images–especially the cake topper (it looked just like them)!
Alexandra and Michael had a wonderful, intimate celebration at Legacy Hall in the New Town area of Williamsburg, Virginia. Michael brewed all the beer, Alexandra’s parents made all the food, and friends created the wedding favors. A truely great DIY wedding, with the Virginia Tech regalia a nice touch. I really enjoyed myself here.
Jennifer and Chris chose a beautiful venue to celebrate their wedding and paid attention to every detail from the signature cocktail and the food to the band and decor. These photographs are from the reception only, as the church did not allow us to photograph the ceremony. Enjoy!
Amber and James chose beautiful and historic venues for their wedding. Their ceremony was at the Poe Museum, which has a beautiful courtyard and nice touches for a wedding, the couple then walked the 5 blocks or so to Main Street Station, where their reception was held.
Brian and Sara had an intimate ceremony and reception at Cypress Point Country Club in Virginia Beach. Below are some of my favorite photos:
Andrea and Calvin tied the knot at the Virginia Beach Resort Hotel and had an appropriately beach themed wedding.
I also loved the couple’s first dance, they stayed just like this the entire dance, smiling and loving the moment and what’s to come.
There was some stiff competition to recover the garter
And lastly, I just like this image, it is a detail of the groom and his grandmother hugging.
