Fairmount Instaproject

I recently bought an iPhone, and love it, especially the camera. It has been awhile since I’ve had a point and shoot and the iPhone is just that and “photoshop” in one, with a whole bunch of cool effects and ways to share the photos. And I have been busy taking pictures with the iphone when not on a set.

Fairmount Instaproject is a new project I started using my new point and shoot. The premise is simple: I explore Fairmount Park in Philly on long shoot days and photograph whatever is interesting or hidden. I then take the photographs using Hipstamatic and share the photographs via twitter and instagram with the hashtags: #philly #fairmount #instaproject. I may have made up that last tag, but my intent is for this to be an instant project. You can follow the entire project on instagram @gordonstillman, or online via an instagram viewer. Below are some samples from my first day of the project.

New Food Photography

There is a lot going on at GSP, including two new food projects which I hinted at in my previous post. One project, food experiments, has its own mini-site with stills and video that is now live. A sampling of the other project is below, all shot with a Holga on black and white film. (both projects are works in progress, with more images to come).
