In addition to photography, web design, and photoshop skills, I am currently developing working knowledge of 3d Max. This program allows me to create photo-realistic images and animations from computer models.
About Me
I started studying photographic techniques over 10 years ago. In addition to a number of photography classes throughout high school and college, I have participated in the Santa Fe Workshops.
I am a member of the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP) and actively participate in the Central Virginia (CV) chapter. In addition to this photography blog, I blog for Black Star Rising.
When I am working I enjoy tea and spicy food. When I am not working I enjoy rock climbing, hiking, and photographing.
These days I enjoy listening to the Talking Heads, Old Crow Medicine Show, and Johnny Cash. My favorite artists (while really hard to narrow down this far) are El Greco and Paul Gauguin. Some of my favorite photographers are Abelardo Morell, Raymond Meeks, Edward Weston, Man Ray, Keith Carter, and Sally Mann.
